Description
Included albums:
Courage to Grow (2007)
Bright Side of Life (2009)
Peace of Mind (2012)
Count Me In (2014)
Falling into Place (2016)
Free Rein (2018)
'Courage to Grow' and 'Bright Side of Life' are securely ripped in EAC (Exact Audio Copy), and have log files. The other albums don't have log files, and I don't know which ripper was used, though one could speculate it's probably a ripper based on cdparanoia (since the vast majority of audio rippers are).
"cdparanoia is a compact disc ripper for *nix and BeOS, developed by Xiph.org. It is designed to be a minimalistic, high-quality CD ripper that would be able to compensate for and adjust to poor hardware to produce a flawless rip."
~Wikipedia
So, you see, even though it's not EAC and a log file usually isn't provided by cdparanoia (unless it's explicitly told to generate one), the resulting rip is probably accurate. I've tested this myself on my optical drive, which is one of the drives that produces a 1:1 copy of the data on disc. I've tested this by ripping discs multiple times and comparing checksums, and even burning the resulting rip and then ripping it again. The checksums match. So, I assume there are other optical drives like mine, and even if they aren't as accurate cdparanoia compensates for that. It's one of the oldest, most tried and tested audio rippers around, and it's been very reliable for me over the years.
I didn't make any of these rips, but just collected them all. For now, this is the best I could do.
Compiling this FLAC discography meant getting the albums from various sources, as I don't want to jinx my ratio on private music torrent trackers. Even though Rebelution is a great reggae band, they still seem to be somewhat underground as I couldn't find a complete FLAC discography on the public trackers, and that's the reason why I'm uploading this.
Please seed to show your appreciation for the band, the music, and my effort in putting this together. There are so many hit & runs on public torrents, so we must work together to keep this torrent alive for everyone who loves Rebelution.
The albums have been tagged using MusicBrainz Picard, and they all have ReplayGain tags. No ID3v2 tags, only VorbisComment tags, as it should be with FLAC files. All files are properly named after the tags.
Enjoy
