Will give a long and a short version. TLDR: These are brand new subs for the Tsuburaya Tokusatsu show “Jumborg Ace” With HD raws. Long version: Chances are if you are looking at this post I don’t need to explain what a Jumborg Ace is. But Jumborg ce was part of the 10th anniversary Tokusatsu Hero shows produced by Tsuburaya Productions. The only previous English subtitles for the show came from Malaysian DVDs. These were Japanese->Chinese->Malay->English conversions. God bless people for being able to watch the show that way, those are truly some of the worst subs I have ever seen. The show has not received modern fansubs due the misperception of Millcreek “having rights” to many of Tsuburaya’s other shows. I’m not on the “inside” but I can tell you they aren’t doing Jumborg until at least 2029 lol. Same goes for most if not all the non Ultra/Ultraman related content. My goal with this post is to gauge interest. If the Tokusatsu fandom proves there is a real interest to get Jumborg subbed properly. I will do the rest of the series. Something I wanna clarify about the raws used is that they are NOT the Bunnyhat raws. Bunnyhat’s source of the rip I do not know but it is a 720p rip that is missing a few episodes. There are 3 HD uploads of the show, Bunnyhat’s 720p, a 1080p upload which misses no episodes and then another 1080p with bloated file size that denoises the video. I am using the 1080p non denoised video for this project. Episode 1 had captions provided by the Chinese. I am willing to move beyond episode 1 even without captions however if anyone has access to those please notify me via the discord server linked in the information section. Have a good day everyone.
