What you need
-Visual Studio 2013 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40
Instructions
-unzip with winrar or 7zip
- run Unreal Engine.exe NOT .MSI
-Open shortcut on desktop or, \Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe
-It will take a min or so to start up so give it time
-run as administrator
-After it starts up it will compile the shaders which takes time
Short Version
1. Unzip with winrar or 7zip
1. Install unreal Engine.exe
2. Open shortcut (Run as administrator only if you get errors)
3. Let it compile shaders (does it automatically)
Other
-This is already compiled and ready to go all you have to do is install it and run shortcut.
-it is best to install to your c:\ drive instead of c:\program files this will fix both issues below
- run setup again to get modify, repair, remove options (also is added to windows add and remove and the fonts also is added to add and remove or any program you use to uninstall it will show up)
-This is 7zip for 2 reasons 1st is, to use as a web-seed so you can download at a good speed 2nd I couldn't get it to compress correctly that is why its 4gb download instead of the usual 2gb download don't know how fix that sry, all this means is a bigger download
Issues
-If it doesn't start-up right click on shortcut "run as administrator" if you install unreal engine to c:\ instead of c:\program files you shouldn't have this problem
-unable to load my old projects, install unreal engine to you c:\ drive (ex c:\unrealengine) then try again (building my old project in visual studio worked for me but through editor it did not)
Installer Issues
- Cannot turn music off while its installing so if your don't want the music just turn it off when installer starts up problem solved
