Amen
Sara, Ester, and Miriam are three sisters who have never left the farmhouse where their father and grandmother raised them. They venerate God because they are an extremely Christian family, and fully respect the dogmas and punishments that the Scriptures, and the Old Testament above all, have transmitted to them. They believe in no intermediary, no Church, and no sacred image: Grandma Paolina rises to all those roles that separate them from the Lord’s grace. Adolescence, however, has brought with it questions and physical transformations that have changed the sisters’ outlooks. The doubt that sin has penetrated into their minds and hands is a legitimate one, and each of them responds differently to their first sexual urges. When tragedy strikes the family and their young cousin Primo is forced to come to the farmhouse, the sisters’ lives are forever changed.

il film diretto da Andrea Baroni, racconta la storia di una famiglia estremamente religiosa che vive isolata in un casolare di campagna. Il padre, Armando, e la nonna, Paolina, guidano rigidamente le figlie nel rispetto delle tradizioni religiose, imponendo loro un'educazione severa e rispettosa dell'Antico Testamento. Le tre figlie, Sara, Ester e Miriam, vivono in simbiosi con la natura e con la loro fede, ma ognuna ha una diversa prospettiva sul mondo esterno: Sara è la più devota e mistica, Ester è ribelle e desiderosa di conoscere il mondo al di là della loro valle, mentre Miriam è ancora giovane e influenzabile.
L'arrivo di Primo, un nipote di Paolina, scuote l'equilibrio della famiglia. Armando lo tratta con sospetto e lo relega ai lavori più duri, mentre Paolina vede in lui un'anima da redimere. Le tre sorelle, nel frattempo, si trovano ad affrontare emozioni e desideri contrastanti provocati alla presenza di Primo, il cui arrivo porta tensione e conflitto nella casa.
Le scelte e le azioni delle tre sorelle nei confronti di Primo segnano un punto di svolta nella loro vita, portando a conseguenze imprevedibili e sulla dinamica familiare e nel loro rapporto con la fede.
