[Orphan] Charanpo Land no Bouken (720p)

Orphan presents Charanpo Land no Bouken (Adventure in Charanpo Land), the final installment of Anime Tamago 2017 to be subbed in English. This is a colorful all-ages story about an island paradise inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. They live on the bounty of a huge baobab tree, which provides daily quantities of food and other necessities via “lotto eggs” (the plastic capsules found in Japanese arcade machines). Then one day, the tree expels a beautiful golden egg. After that, all further lotto eggs are empty. Three children - Kometora the tiger, Pyon the rabbit, and Gunma the bear - race to find the golden egg and restore it to its rightful place in the tree.

They must outwit or outrun various grownups who also want the egg. This is all done with beautiful, highly kinetic animation.

The problem is that the raw, the only one available, is at the wrong frame rate and judders noticeably during panning. See this blog entry for more details. Meanwhile, enjoy the eye-candy.
