This is an alternate version of the Hal9000 fan edit for ‘Revenge Of The Sith,’ intended to back off of some of the changes and fit in a little more easily with the wider Star Wars continuity. This version retains some bits and pieces of content as well as lore that some may prefer to have in their ideal viewing experience. Please note: *TWO* alternate versions are presented here, one in which Padme lives (as in ‘Labyrinth Of Evil’), and one in which Padme dies (as in the original film). Here are the changes common to both of these alternate versions, starting from the main Hal9000 fan edit: - Original title is used in the opening crawl (‘Revenge Of The Sith’ instead of ‘Labyrinth Of Evil’) - Reinstated line of dialogue where Anakin references Han Solo in saying, “This is where the fun begins” - Reinstated line of dialogue where Palpatine facetiously refers to himself as “The Senate” - Reinstated the scene depicting Anakin enter the Temple to slaughter the younglings, as well as references to this elsewhere in the film - Reinstated Yoda’s duel with Sidious as well as the explicit plan for he and Obi-Wan to assassinate the two Sith For the version in which Padme dies, as in the original film, scenes are reinstated and reordered in order to present this version of the story more fully. It is essentially the same fan edit except it retains the original, theatrical ending sequence as well as everything else leading up to that point that would be implied by doing so. This version of the fan edit is not what was originally intended by the editor, as the project was always arranged and structured with the modified ending in mind. However, due to repeated requests, this alternate version is being presented for those who would prefer it this way. This version features subtitles, though does not feature a commentary track.
