Plot
A native Briton banished to Australia for murder, and his wife, Henrietta, the disturbed
sister of the man he was convicted on killing, set out to help her conquer her demons and
return her life to normal.
Trama
Australia, 1831. L'elegante e nobile irlandese Charles Adare, in cerca di fortuna, giunge
a Sydney dove incontra un banchiere e un ricco imprenditore, Sam Flusky, disposto a
prestargli denaro per l'acquisto di terreni. Charles riconosce nella moglie di lui
Henrietta, un'aristocratica irlandese. Henrietta è depressa e alcolizzata. Malgrado il
grande amore per suo marito le differenze sociali, gli interessi, le abitudini così
diverse hanno logorato i loro rapporti e il matrimonio è in crisi.
