Orphan presents the first English subtitled version of the 1988 OVA be George Kattobi Seishun Ki: Shibuya Honky Tonk (Tales from Abe George’s Stormy Youth: Shibuya Honky Tonk); for brevity, just Shibuya Honky Tonk. This purports to be the autobiography of TV personality and writer Abe George’s early years, when he was a member of the yakuza. (As he himself admitted, “About 10% of it is true, and the rest is exaggerated and dramatized.”) The four episodes cover his initial time as a novice underling, his exile to England following a fracas with another gang, his “promotion” to full-fledged underling, and his attempts at making money through various cons and scams. It ends when he’s sent off for a stint in a juvenile detention facility. R2J DVD rip. There’s quite a bit of nudity, sex, and violence, so this show is definitely NSFW.
