So, this "classic" is what would happen if The Evil Dead had half the lighting budget, was Japanese, and was a porno. There's a story of sorts, but it's mostly an excuse to get the three female leads naked, dirty, covered in cum, and killed in bizarre ways. It would probably be more enjoyable if the women didn't look quite so uncomfortable with the sex, even before the huge cock demon gets involved. The human dudes in this are no less creeps than the demon is. Now that I think of it, it'd probably make a good double feature with Evil Dead Trap, which is the better film, but with much less fucking and women fellating tree branches. Stars Saeko Kizuki, Naomi Hagio, Megumi Kawashima, Osamu Tsuruoka, Daiki Katô, Hideki Takahashi, and Kazuhiko Goda. A group of photographers and porn stars work hard at making ridiculous Japanese softcore porn, when not actually fucking each other. When they go on a trip to the forest, they get lost in a mysterious thick fog, and arrive at some abandoned buildings where they spend the night sexually harrassing the actresses, as well as doing some semi-nude wrestling moves for some reason. However, their presence has drawn the attention of an evil entity in the forest, which manifests as a dirt-caked man with a huge cock, and while he's only interested in killing the dudes (no homo), the three actresses have more varied demon encounters, although they usually end with some sort of painful death, and/or the conception of the Antichrist. Oh, and a woman fellates a tree, makes out with a severed head, and masturbates using the fingers of a severed arm. Class. The source material is grainy, underlit, and generally shitty, so there's not much this remaster could do, but it didn't try too hard either. It looks about as scuzzy as you'd expect, but it fits the film, I just wish there was some more light in the darkest scenes. Sound is similarly acceptable.
