Description
v2: Updated mkv flags to specify colorspace/primaries, this fixes an issue where Media players were rendering the colors incorrectly on playback.

I heavily improved the R1 Subtitles, retiming manually to adjust for scene bleeds, added a few basic typesets, fixed OCR issue, split lines with long pauses in speech, combined lines that were only split because the R1 Translation was needlessly long, full of filler words and impossible to read (24-30 CPS) A few lines were changed to be less literal, e.g “Merchants of Death” to “Arms Dealers”.
This is the best encode out there from what I can tell. The current releases for this OVA have a lot of issues, and a slight upscale that maintains grain/detail and doesn’t suffer from all the other issues the other releases have is still a large improvement.
Issues with current releases:
[SLIME] - Stretched Horizontally by around 10% (theatrical is wider, but this goes further than that), otherwise this release was okay, no frame-blending issues unlike below
[sxales] - Artifacting inbetween every frame, blocky, bitstarved, grain is killed and so are the details it looks awful in motion even on static frames the grain keeps buggin’ causing artifacts to appear everywhere
[ObscureRips] - Just like above lots of artifacts inbetween frames, artifacts are worse than sxales but there’s more grain/detail it’s just also very noisy, only has vobsubs
I’m looking into a possible DVD Remux release, if anyone would prefer that, check back here in a few days. I’ll remove this note if I drop the idea.
If someone makes a better encode, mux my subs in and I can delete.
