令和７年8月18日から２１日、第16回全国離島交流中学生野球大会（離島甲子園）が沖縄県宮古市で開催され. 徳之島選抜として天城町４名、徳之島町１１名、伊仙町５名の計２０名で出場しました。 今年の大会は離島のある全国２７の自治体から２４チームおよそ４００名が参加しました。
