Description
Billy Birmingham began his career in 1984. After having written the #1 hit Australiana for Austen Tayshus, Birmingham thought he'd write a hit comedy single of his own, and came up with 'It's Just Not Cricket', released under the name the 12th Man. The vulgar parody of Channel 9's cricket coverage went to number #1 and was the 2nd highest selling single in Australia that year. What followed was a still unbeaten record of seven straight ARIA #1 albums for the 12th Man.
