Everything is set up, all you have to do is simply turn on the machine. Below you will find details regarding the machine and the operating system installed:
Virtual Machine Specifications:
•Hard Disk & CD/DVD are both set to IDE since Windows XP cannot be installed on an IDE hard disk since the setup does not recognize SATA hard disks.
•Memory set to 1024MB, equivalent to one gigabyte.
•Hard disk set to 40GB.
•Number of processors is set to one.
•Network Adapter set to NAT. (The settings were left untouched)
Nevertheless the machine is connected to the Internet.
•USB compatibility set to USB 2.0.
•Sound settings left untouched. (Sound may be distorted time and again.)
•Printers are optional.
•Display settings left untouched.
Maximum amount of memory for the virtual machine was set to 512MB.
Features incorporated:
The guest time is synchronized with that of the host.
Updates are installed automatically should there ever be newer versions of VMWare tools available to be installed.
VMWare tools are also installed.
