Note : If you're not aware of the cinematic oeuvre of Canadian musician/thespian/bodybuilder/writer/historian Jon Mikl Thor, allow me to introduce you. This is a man who's known mononymously as Thor, aka The Legenday Rock Warrior. Thor is also the name of his band. He somehow managed to star in several feature films, most of which also feature his music on the soundtrack, and this one somehow also managed to get music from Motörhead and Girlschool onboard. It's a horrible film, of course, but the entertainment value is high, and the cast is kind of bonkers, including Adam West, Tia Carrere, and Shawn Levy, later the director of Night at the Museum, Real Steel, and Deadpool & Wolverine, as a young punk with a switchblade, a bad attitude, and an enormous mane of 80s hair. Please enjoy this with the MST3k or RiffTrax track for maximal pleasure.

William Washington, a baseball player, is fatally stabbed in front of his son while defending a young Black girl from two white greasers. Years later, his son Tony has grown up to be a successful baseball player himself, as well as just an enormous unit of beef, and after foiling a robbery at a grocery store, Tony is hit and killed by a car full of obnoxious teenagers, who promptly flee the scene. This proves to be a mistake, since Tony's mother is still in touch with Molly, the girl his father died saving, and she's grown up to become a voodoo priestess. At the behest of Tony's grieving mother, Molly resurrects Tony into a baseball bat wielding zombie out for bloody revenge. As horny teenagers begin to die, a pair of cops, a grizzled veteran captain and an eager younger detective, are on the case, but one of the cops has deeper motives of his own...

This is a totally fine transfer of a film that probably never looked great, mostly it's a bit underexposed. The transfer isn't entirely clean, but it's fine, grain is decently managed, color and contrast is pretty ok too. The original stereo sounds good, the commentary track is interesting enough, but the two riff commentaries are where the real value lies.
