This release tonemaps just fine in MPV, even on non-HDR displays.
Filtering: My main focus was on getting rid of the 4K source’s oversharpened look as much as I could. I intentionally blurred parts of the image and applied a more aggressive than usual dehaloing routine in order to finally get a line-art that isn’t pure pain to watch.
Encoding: SVT-AV1-HDR v3.1.2 (See MediaInfo for settings)
-> In order to preserve much of the source’s energy at this filesize, this encode contains ringing in motion in some instances and remains very much not efficient, you are warned. BD release planned down the line… if we do get a BD.
