Description
A glance at the raw cover, and there is no typical crustpunk ornamentation. No skulls, no bullets, no rats roaming the battlefield. Rain has long since grown beyond genre canons, and his new album is another proof of the development of this Poznań formation.
Without giving up punk rawness and directness, "III" maneuvers between the elements raging today at their best on the borderline of hardcore and metal. It's still powerfully sounding - even epic! - neocrust, ready to appeal to followers of Trageda, Masakari or Myteri, but additionally sprinkled with black metal sulfur (the best example - "Standing Alone", illustrated by the way with an intriguing video clip), revealing a weakness for post-rock impressions (introductory to "Inflorescence") or striving with almost mathcore breakers, but still set on very motoric springs ("Moments Lost in Time").
