Notes:
An updated release of this late 90s OVA adaption of the Visual Novel by the same name.
The R2J DVD had slightly higher video bitrate (9800 vs 8000 kbps) consequently containing sharper picture with more texture detail and was was used as the encode base for the first time to date.
Light treatment to reduce or eliminate haloing, chroma noise, and banding was applied to the extent possible without harming detail or introducing artifacts. See comparison screenshots above.
English audio and subtitles were taken from the R1 Media Blasters DVD and synced/retimed for addition. The subtitles were OCR’d and QC’d by me to eliminate some grammar errors, restore honorifics and original Japanese name order, as well as typeset signs/songs which were hardsubbed in the R1 release. Unstyled subtitle options are included for those that prefer them, as well as signs/songs-only tracks for dub viewers.
