The Johnny Jets were a Mexican rock and roll group known for recording a go-go style songs, ballads, and some bolero covers recorded by trios.
They emerged in 1965 as a result of a social gathering. They are mostly from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
They are especially remembered for their greatest hits: "Es Lupe," a Spanish version of "Hang on Sloopy," an original hit by The McCoys and number one according to Billboard magazine in 1965; "La minifalda de Reynalda"; and "Enamorada de un amigo mía," a hit by Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos.
They recorded their first album for Discos CBS in 1965, including songs such as "No que No," "Limoncito," and "No Seré T."
