In the game, we play the role of the titular Dave, who, despite frequent comments about his body mass, pursues his profession as a diver. At the same time, together with a friend named Bancho - a specialist in preparing dishes from rare sea creatures - he runs a sushi restaurant located right next to the depths of the Blue Hole rift.

While researching for archaeologist Bacon, Dave comes across a sea civilization that is in danger. He decides to do everything to save both his own world and the newly discovered world.
