番組内容
ギリシャ神話に登場する「大地の女神」を意味し、後にノーベル賞作家のウィリアム・ゴールディングが「地球」を指して“ガイア”と呼んだことから「ガイア＝地球」という解釈が定着している。「ガイアの夜明け」という番組タイトルには、地球規模で経済事象を捉えることで２１世紀の新たな日本像を模索すること、そして低迷する経済状況からの再生＝「夜明け」を目指す現在の日本を描くという意味合いが込められている。
