Echo Generation: Midnight Edition is a turn-based adventure game produced by Cococucumber studio. The title was released on PC and Nintendo Switch. Midnight Edition is a version of Echo Generation expanded with additional content.
Echo Generation takes place in a small town called Maple Town. We create our character, a local kid, ourselves at the beginning of the adventure, but the starting point is the same: we are science-fiction lovers and beginner filmmakers, and we want to make our first work with our friends. However, the situation becomes much more complicated. Maple Town attracts a variety of phenomena: aliens, ghosts, robots, a serial killer, etc.
Gameplay - Echo Generation: Midnight Edition
In terms of gameplay, Cococucumber's production is reminiscent of some classic jRPGs, especially the Earthbound/Mother series. During the struggle, we explore Maple Town, encountering residents who need help and give us tasks to complete, which most often comes down to finding and delivering specific items.
