The group from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was formed in 1964 and was originally called “The Shags”. In 1965, they released the single “I Love You/Dance Woman” on Raynard Records. In 1967 they released the single “Stop And Listen/Melissa” on Capitol Records. In 1968, they moved to San Francisco and recorded this album on Pacific High Recording, but it was not released until 2005. At the end of July 1969, “Shag” performed at the famous Midwest Rock Festival in their native Milwaukee, on the same stage with “Led Zeppelin”, “Blind Faith”, “Delaney And Bonnie”, “Taste”, “MC5”, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, “Joe Cocker And The Grease Band”, “Jethro Tull”, Bob Seger and many others.
