The main character of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Reforged is George Stobbart, an American tourist who, while visiting Paris, witnesses a terrorist attack on one of the cafes. Shortly afterwards, Nicole Collard, a local journalist, stands in his way. The duo decides to start their own investigation into this matter and quickly finds the secret of the titular order. Thus begins Stobbart and Collard's long journey, which leads them through various corners of Europe and the Middle East.
In Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Reforged, we watch the action from "cinematic" shots. The gameplay does not differ much from the scheme on which most representatives of the genre are built. During it, we travel through various locations and conduct conversations with the characters we meet, thus gaining valuable information and tips. In addition, an important role here is played by puzzles that involve searching for specific items and using them in a specific way, as well as interacting with elements of the environment.
Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Reforged stands out from the original thanks to its thoroughly refreshed audiovisual setting. The authors drew the backgrounds from scratch, prepared new animations, and increased the maximum resolution (to 4K). In addition, the sound layer was refreshed, with dialogue lines at the forefront.
