This book concerns microwave circuits with emphasis on linear passive ones composed of RLC lumped elements and commensurate TEM (or quasi-TEM) transmission
line segments. As a rule, the design of this type of circuit requires specialized numerical techniques, and therefore a computer-aided design (CAD) approach is followed throughout the book. In the case of integrated microwave circuits, such an approach is particularly helpful because their design and optimization are fairly complicated if conducted in any other way
