Not a typical work for the Italian rock scene: heavy prog, often very close to hard rock. Atlantide was an Italian band that was active in Germany in the seventies of the last century. The members of the band were the four Sanseverino brothers - Mimmo, Matteo, Leonardo and Mario. Before moving to Germany, the band played in their homeland, Cirigliano (a commune in the Basilicata region), in the southern part of Italy. In 1973 they moved to Germany, where they still live (although one of the brothers, Leonardo, died in 2006). In Germany, Atlantide was active in concert activity, mainly working as an opening act for local bands such as the Scorpions, and received positive criticism from the press. Only in 1976 the band released their only self-produced album, Francesco Ti Ricordi, which was released only in Germany and had little commercial success. It is a heavy progressive rock album, heavily influenced by bands like Deep Purple. In 1979 the band stopped performing actively, but still occasionally gets together and plays at local rock festivals
