Pseudoscience is not intended to be a comprehensive compendium or an exhaustive, evidence-based reference. If it contained every topic under its umbrella, it wouldn’t be a book but a library. That said, we acknowledge the existence of deeply harmful pseudoscientific subjects such as racial superiority theory, gay conversion “therapy,” Holocaust denial, and many other topics that could not be covered within this short, lighthearted book. Those topics deserve serious discussion and a respectful tone. We are strongly opposed to pseudoscientific ideas deployed to spread hate and suppress marginalized communities. We support and encourage listening open heartedly to organizations fighting back with love, acceptance—and science—such as the NAACP, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Human Rights Campaign, and The Trevor Project
