MAL Summary: Deep within the Black Forest teeming with poisonous mushrooms, a witch named Luna lives alone. With skin that is poisonous to the touch and a breath that will kill if close enough, she is forced to stay secluded from nearby civilization. Even with these conditions, Luna still visits a nearby city to deliver medicine and buy new books to read. Despite Luna having never done harm to any of the city’s residents, many are scared to associate with her, as she is a black witch in a kingdom ruled by white witches. Only able to watch from a distance while people receive her medicine and freely converse with one another, Luna is drawn toward their lives, even if it sometimes means putting herself in danger. Here is ep 08 of our Winter 2026 project this year … this is a series that very much appears to have flown under the radar of many of the admittedly small circle of fansubbers I have spoken with at least. So far the adaptation has been on target and effective. For those of you who know of the series, it is by the same mangaka that penned Gakuen no Alice. Delays due to this ep having an unexpectedly large amount of TS combined with RL and sickness all crashing down at once. However, if all goes well ep 09 release in the next few days, and work is well underway for eps 10 and 11. Episode 12 will take a little longer, and there is essentially a new OP and ED lyrics wise, so there will be some tweaking needed on that front as well. Thanks for your patience, folks! Enjoy!
