Notes:
I’ve been putting this off for a little bit but since the USBD is taking forever to come out for whatever reason and the dub is already available on Amazon, I decided to do this quick project. Fuck GKIDS dude, anyways.
Video - Went with WPR’s JPBD Remux, I wanted to re-encode it to reduce the file size but I don’t trust my CPU to encode something decent so for the sake of quality i went easy. Maybe I’ll attempt to do a x265 encode in the future.
Audio - JPN audio is from the JPBD (DTS-HD -> FLAC) and the English dub is from Amazon US (ripped by DubOnly). I excluded the guide audio and commentary from the main mux but they are available in the Extras folder.
Subtitles - AFAIK the JPBD translation is fine enough so I made no changes to the script, For styling I used a2a’s ASS subs as a base and changed various styling choices, like the songs and signs. From that I made a Signs Only track for the dub. Dubtitles are from the official CC track from Amazon, I removed the SDH and styled it to be the same as the main subtitles. Timing is a bitch though, whoever timed the subs for the Amazon stream should be fired for complete incompetence.
I really enjoyed this film and I hope you do too. Peace out.
