Note : Russ Meyer is notable for a couple of things, and they're a nice pair, if you know what I mean. No, seriously, he's notable for really, really liking big tits, and also putting exclamation marks in the titles of his films. Severin has taken on the monumental task of remastering most of his film to a modern standard, and God bless them, because this looks great. This little number is the first in the "Vixen" trilogy, and is pretty typical for Meyer's comical and sexy approach to having just enough minimal story to keep things going between all the fucking. Also, Vixen simulates tit-fucking and fellatio with a freshly caught trout. That's comedy. Stars Erica Gavin, Garth Pillsbury, Harrison Page, Jon Evans, Vincene Wallace, Robert Aiken, and Michael Donovan O'Donnell. Fun for the entire family.
Tom is a bush pilot in the Canadian wilderness, and his nympho wife Vixen is so horny while he's away, she can't help but fuck everyone who comes along, including a mountie, a married couple, and even her own brother Judd. However, Vixen is horribly racist (racism is stored in the tits), so she won't have sex with her brother's Black friend Niles, and prefers to pepper him with slurs. However, Vixen and Niles find themselves unlikely allies when her husband's plane is hijacked by an effete, bearded Marxist who wants to fly to Cuba, and it turns out anti-communism is the cure for racism.
This is a great 4k remaster, nice and detailed, with quite prominent, but nice-looking grain, and color and contrast that's a bit understated, but which gives it a look that's very period appropriate. The dual mono track sounds good too, and both commentary tracks are great, Russ Meyer of course laying bare all his psychosexual obsessions with statements like "strippers don't walk, they ondulate".
