Antônio Carlos Moreira Pires (Ituaçu, July 8, 1947 - Rio de Janeiro, April 13, 2020), better known as Moraes Moreira, was a Brazilian musician. During the 1970s, he was a member of the group Novos Baianos, later entering a solo career that yielded 29 albums. Moreira was involved in the recording of 40 complete albums with Novos Baianos and the electric trio Dodô and Osmar, as well as two more albums with guitarist Pepeu Gomes.

Becoming one of the most versatile composers in Brazil, he synthesized genres such as rock, samba, choro, frevo, baião and classical music. In 2012, he was elected as the 98th greatest voice in Brazilian music by Rolling Stone Brasil Finished Chorare, released by Novos Baianos in 1972, was classified by the same magazine as the greatest Brazilian album of all time.
