A couple of decades ago I had to settle for transferring content from VHS tapes
at the library to XviDs on much important stuff on Malcolm X - video tapes that literally seemed
to have disappeared from all sight it would seem, since then.

Here is a great deal of preserved content i refer to - in 1080p in fact! (courtesy of itunes documentaries downloads)
