This has edited "soft" English captions; that is, English subtitles are part of the MKV file and the subtitles can be enabled or disabled as you wish.
I downloaded the source video "Back_in_Action_2025_MULTi_1080p_WEB_x264-FW.mkv" and English subtitles "Back.In.Action.2025.1080p.WEBRip.x265.10bit.AAC5.1-[YTS.MX].srt", then...
- Used a linear video editor to clean up the film's profanity (see notes below).
- Used Subtitle Edit (by Nikolaj Lynge Olsson) to find and fix all flagged issues
- Added 0.7 second to each subtitle (where possible) to allow more time to read them
- Used Handbrake to create the new MKV file, adding my subtitle file as soft captions
This is the typical American film which must be at least sprinkled with enough profanity to make it appeal to what Hollywood thinks their audience wants. I've (mostly seamlessly) removed the following and updated the subtitles and their timing accordingly:
