Back for more Whole Cake Island! At one point the idea was that we would release up to 806 for the next batch, since that’s where the second CR BD set for WCI ends, and also the final episode with We Can as the opening, but, uh… We wanted to include the first episode that uses Hope. Also Gyro made the fair point that 807 and 808 are the climax of the first stretch of the arc, so it would make more sense to have them here. So, 14 episodes in one go! :D
…Also the CR BDs split the 807-808 double feature into two separate episodes with their own credits. There isn’t really any unique content in the individual versions aside from the preview for episode 808, but since it was very little extra effort, we decided to include those separate versions as well, alongside the international preview for episode 807 which has different clips than what’s on the Japanese BD. Just to try and keep the main episodes folder from getting too cluttered though, we put all of those files in the Extras folder while leaving only the double feature in the “main” folder.
Video situation is the same as last time: Primarily sourced from the USBDs, due to them not having the low-pass artifacting that’s literally constant on the Japanese BDs. But since the USBDs have edited credits, title cards, signs, and logos, and the Japanese BDs sometimes have animation corrections that for some reason didn’t make it into the international masters, we overlaid Japanese footage for those parts specifically.
