Description

Ex-Arm

エクスアーム

2014: Natsume Akira seems to almost have a phobia of electrical devices while also being very good at diagnosing them. He resolves to change himself for the better and get a girlfriend like his older brother did. …But then Akira suddenly dies in an accident. 16 years later a special policewoman and her android partner retrieve and activate a highly advanced AI and super-weapon called EX-ARM and put it into full control of their ship as a last resort. Turns out the AI is actually just Akira’s brain!

Notes on subtitles:

Modifications done to the English [CR] subtitles:

Redid the typesetting and sign tracking.
Restyled the dialogue.
Slightly edited the script.
Added lyrics for the OP (main, Romaji & translation) and ED.
Created KFX for the OP (heavily inspired by Kantai’s Eighty Six OP).

All subtitles have been checked, and, if necessary, timed to make sure at least the dialogue is in sync with the audio. For languages other than English, I don’t guarantee frame-perfect sign sync, though.
ASS subtitles have been resampled, if necessary.
Fonts for non-English subtitles are subset to include used glyphs plus all ASCII and fullwidth punctuation characters. These fonts are marked with the suffix [X]_subset, but the actual font names won’t change (no more fonts called XQBAKHKQ).

Why use WEB as the source when BD is available? The BD is heavily low-passed, which results in very noticeable ringing and blurred sharp edges and fine details. See the comparisons below.

Playback
It is highly recommended to watch any AV1 release with an up-to-date media player. I personally recommend the mpv media player, but MPC-HC or VLC also support AV1 playback.
